Thanks The question is, what do you want. There is a chance that she had polycyctic ovarian syndrome. This is related to insulin resistance syndrome, and a family history of diabetes. If she is overweight, then a high protein, low carbohydrate diet and increase exercise might regulate her cycle. In fact, most girls have irregular cycles of a few years and then regulate. Try the pills for 6-12 months and then go off. There IS a small increased risk for breast cancer, but there IS a large decreased risk for ovarian and uterine cancer, and a VERY large decreased risk of pregnancy and pelvic inflammatory disease.
