boyfriend's 'jock itch'

For months I've been dealing with a tingling sensation on my vulva, especially around my clitoris. There has also been abdominal pain. My urine at times has bubbles in it and has an unusual odor. I've been to the doctor numerous times -the internist, the gyno, the urologist. I don't have any STD's ... I've even had a dye test to check my urinary system and the urologist has looked inside my bladder for normality. My urine samples are clean. I'm much better than I was but not completely better. Due to all this I've been on antibiotics on and off, mostly on, for months to no avail and I've treated myself for several yeast infections during this time, though not sure if that was the problem seeing I'd never had one before. Recently I noticed some redness on my boyfriend's genital area, near his leg. He says that a doctor a few years ago told him he had jock itch, but that if it didn't itch or bother him not to worry about it. He said he was worried about it, treated it, it left, but comes back. He says it doesn't itch or cause him any problems though. Right now, both he and I are treating for a yeast infection to make sure we're not passing one back and forth - my idea. Could his jock itch have spread to me and caused these symptoms? Any other ideas?
