i am a 23 year old female in good general health. i had an abortion 3 1/2 months ago at 12 weeks gestation. my first two periods post-abortion were normal (i was put on alesse oral contraceptive.) the third month however, i have been having constant achey cramps in what feels like my cervix (and general adbomen.) accompanied by thick brown discharge and relatively large brown clots (some bigger than a quarter.) it has been constant for 2 1/2 weeks. i have CIN 1/HPV and have not had a pap in over a year, (though i have arranged to have an appointment for one in 2 months.) could this indicate some problem with my cervix? when i went back for my post-abortion check up, i wasn't examined internally, as i later found out i should have been. the nurse just pressed on my tummy and scooted me out. i'm worried my cervix hasn't closed properly and i'm discarding bits of my uterus, or that the abortion has aggravated the CIN into a more advanced stage. have you ever heard of this before? please help! thank you very kindly.
