My question is; When is the soonest date I am protected from pregnancy?? I have been off Alesse for 4 months with no replacement birth control method, except condoms. I will be starting my first pack of Ortho Tri-Cyclen on Sunday, Jan. 5th (which will be the 'Sunday start' after I start my period). My periods are normal and usualy last between 4 and 6 days. I understand the idea that it's good to wait a month, but what I realy want to hear is that I will be protected as soon as my first period ends (meaning the following weekend).
