laparoscopy for endometriosis - now what???From: lilly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Dec 2002 01:36:41 -0600 (CST)
I am 19 year old, and I recently had my first laparoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. After recovery from the operation, I am finding that the abdominal pain has only increased. My gynaecologist advised me to skip my periods using the pill which I have been on for over 3 yrs, I am taking pain killers all the time. I'm looking into GnRH agonists and zoladex - but the side effects look as bad as the disease itself, and I don't want my reproductive organs removed. I'm looking into natural therapies and am currently adjusting my diet to one high in phyto-oestrogens. I am wondering what would be the best option for me to take. I know all about the options I have, but not which one is best for me, or which ones are more likely to be effective.
