As a father of four girls, yes I think you were too young, but as a gynecologist, I think your gyn oversteps her bounds by miles, and should be dragged, face down, over a freshly fertilized cow pasture. You obviously did whatever you did 7 years ago, and sound mature. You wanted a service from this doctor and she failed you. You need a new doctor.
