The yeast can irritate the skin to the point of it becoming raw. The additional sctatching of the raw skin can cause small cuts and splits of the skin. Mine actually did bleed a little. I thought mine could have been HSV1 beacuse my boyfriend has it on his mouth. My doctor said that the little cuts didnt look like HSV, but did a test anyway. It came back negative. Try using Monistat 3 with the external cream. That seemed to help me.
