Ovarian Mass

I'm 30 year old woman with PCOS. I have a mass on my ovary that is 7.5 cm. My doctor wants to remove it. My CA-125 is 38.5, and an abdominal xray shows no calificiations. She is recommending a verticle incision to remove my entire left ovary. Does this seem to drastic? Should I get a second opinion?
