wierd cervixFrom: Danyel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 8 Dec 2002 19:35:41 -0600 (CST)
My name is Danyel. Me and my husband are trying to concieve our second child. With my first it took 3 years of not really trying at all, and I finally got pregnant. This time we are using Natural Family Planning and hoping that helps us get pregnant a little faster this time. While I was pregnant with my first, my GYN told me that my cervix was crooked. I didn't think anything of it because he didn't act like it was important. With Natural Family Planning I have been checking my cervical position to get a better idea of when I am ovulating. This month while I was in my fertile period, my cervix was soft, and high, which I know is normal, but it didn't feel like it was facing the right way. The opening of my cervix is facing my back. It's up against the back wall of my Vagina. It seems to me that if the opening of my cervix is facing my back, and kind of up against the back of my vagina, the sperm are going to have a hard time finding and getting into my cervical opening! So now I am really worried. Can this cause me to be infertile...Is this why it took me so long to concieve my first child? I hope you can help me somehow! I searched the internet and can't find any information on it! If my cervical opening is facing my back, am I still going to be able to get pregnant? Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
