PLEASE EXPLAIN ALL OF THIS INFORMATION TO ME!!!!!!!!!From: Alyssa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 3 Dec 2002 20:35:09 -0600 (CST)
I went to my family doctor today because my mom was concerned I may have diabetes. They did a blood test, and a urinalysis. They did a hemoglobin test, and took 2 things of blood from my arm. The sugar level was 59. They said that was normal high. What does that mean? And he also said there was also white blood cells in the urine. The doc. said it looked as if I had a could have a UTI (urinary tract infection), or kidney stones (he said possible cause of chronic pelvic pain). But he also said that could indicate diabetes or hypoglacemia (spelling??). I am thirsty all of the time, I can't seem to drink enough fluids, I have to urinate very badly every 15 to 30 minutes, I have awful spells where I feel like I'm going to pass out (I get really fatigued, shaky, sometimes sweaty). But if I drink OJ or some other fruit juice, I'm so hyper I can run, clean the whole house for my mom, etc. If age would help at all I'm going to be 16 on Dec. 18. My mom said the nurse called her and told her that 59 (sugar level) was normal for adults but high for my age. PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME! IT ALL SOUNDS LIKE MUMBO JUMBO TO ME!
