Reply: Jessica Bardales MD: "Re: Something's really wrong---No Cycle!" I am 27 and I had an abortion early Sept.02. Without the pill I have irregular cycles, with the pill I have regular cycles. After the procedure, I began the pill and have been through 3 packs already. I normally begin my cycle the Tues./Wed. following the last active pill. I haven't had a cycle since conception (which was July! That's six months. I'm scared they sucked something out that wasn't supposed to be out. I'm scared that since my cycle is not working, neither is my reproductive system. I called the clinic each month missed and they told me it was normal and that it takes 8-10 weeks for a woman's hormone levels to get back to normal. They assured me that the procedure does not suck out your ovaries or go near your falopian tubes. But I am past 8-10 weeks. i am scared to go to my real GYN b/c she loves children, we have a good relationship and I am ashamed to tell her what I did. The last time I went for my pap she was asking me when was I going to start my family. I can't possibly tell her what I did Please help. I know this is not normal. Should I just go to a new GYN to find out what's wrong and have some tests taken?
