Break through bleeding on birth control pills

I just recently started taking birth control pills. I am on Loestrin 1/20. I am on my 18th pill. After about the first week of taking them, I started what I was told would be "break-through bleeding". It wasn't really blood, more brownish. My main concern is that it has been continuous since then (about two weeks). I don't know if this is normal, and if so, when will it stop. It is very annoying in the bedroom.
