I'm definitely not an expert on this so I'm sorry if I point you in the wrong direction, but I'm on Kariva which is the equivalent of Mircette. I read in the info with it that the 5 pills at the end of the month (I'm assuming that's what you mean by yellow pills, mine are blue) do have some type of medication/hormone (ethinyl estradiol) in them. The only ones with inactive ingredients are the first two in the last week's pills. I don't know if it's the same for yours or if that would affect anything, but I think you should really call your doctor and ask him/her just to be safe. Part of it would depend, too, on if you went 5 days with taking no pills at all or you started your new pack right after the first 21.
