Obstretics and Gynecology in the U.S.From: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 11 Nov 2002 22:04:08 -0600 (CST)
I am a sophomore in high school, and I have decided that since I have an extreme fascination for science, health, anatomy, and childbirth (and by the way a urogynecologist once treat me by telling me all of my medical problems were all in my head) Iwant to be an ob-gyn. I was wondering what courses you have to take in college as soon as you graduate high school, and what you have to do/go through before you can become a resident. I plan on taking some college courses at the community college near to where I live this summer. Any information would be appreciated, because my high school guidance counselor told me that with the high grades in all of my subjects I could go to the community college this summer, and get all of the courses possible out of the way. But I want to know what courses I will have to take so I can get information on them, and register before Christmas, due to the high number of students wanting to go to college in the summer. Many thanks in advance- ~Amanda Lyn~
