I'm 27 years old and I'm having a period or excessive bleeding (4 to 5 pads and some clotting) that has now lasted 3 weeks. The bleeding doesn't seem to stop. I went to my new gynecologist who guessed that it could be due to a burst cyst. I never had them before. He did an ultrasound and everything looked fine. He felt it would blow over, but when? How long? It's frustrating. I'm getting sick and extremely tired someday. Should I pay my doctor another visit? It's been a week and now I'm looking at a month of bleeding!!!! Please advise.
