Re: Swelling inside Vagina?From: Sara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Oct 2002 23:09:51 -0600 (CST)
I did ask my doctor if it could be a bartholin's cyst but he said that it's too far inside my vagina to be one of my bartholin's glands, although it could be a blocked duct. But he said that it wouldn't go down right away like that if it were a blocked duct and after 6 years of being sexually active it would have at some piont become inflamed and painful. The lump is on the anterior wall about an inch and a half inside. I never experience pain when it swells and the swelling goes away after I orgasm. I have never had a vaginal infection and I have never had a UTI. The doctor said that it is possible for me to have some strategically placed erectile tissue. I have no insurance and this doesn't actually hurt so I really don't want to have a bunch of annoying, expensive tests done. Is it possible for women to have erectile tissue appear in odd places like that?
