Hello, I am a 26 yr old female and in early July, I received a cortisone shot for nasal congestion, to rule out nasal polyps. In the month of August and September, I have had prolonged menstrual bleeding, which is very different from my usual menstrual cycle. IN August, my cycle lasted about 11 days then it came back on 10 days later and lasted from 14 days. My doctor at the health center stated that it may have occurred because of the cortisone shot..Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I can't find any information on this on the internet. Please help if anyone has any information. I do not have a history of irregular vaginal bleeding. My monthly period usually lasts from 3-5 days, so this is completely abnormal for me.
