contract yeast infection form gyn?From: kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Sep 2002 01:48:19 -0500 (CDT)
About a week ago I had my papsmear done. That same night I noticed a irritaion in vagina and some crusty stuff outside. I assumed it was the lubricant that she used to feel my ovaries with that was crusty, and the next morning I woke up and had burning, irritaion and discharge comming out of my vagina. I use a three day home treatment for yeast infection and a few days later I used a one day treatment (over the counter) and it stung really bad. It's been three more days and the discharge has finally dissapeared but the burning and irritaion still occurs. Would it have been possible to contract a yeast infection from my gynocologist? Wouldn't she have picked up on it after the pap smear test if I had it before I went in? -thanks
