Early puberty and Weight gainFrom: Sharyn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 24 Sep 2002 11:36:52 -0500 (CDT)
I am 19(soon to be 20) and I started pubert at about 8 1/2 and by 9 I had a 32D chest was 5 foot 7 in height and weighed 10 stone. Since then I have steadly gained weight(now up to 14 stone) though i went througha brief period where i lost som, but only due to excessive amounts of exercise to build up muscle. I have recently read that women who go through early puberty are almost certainly destined to be obese by the age of 30. I am currently trying to lose weight and am finding it very ahrd as i also have depression(due to the weight). Though i am 14stone i am only a British size 16 though i now have a 36G chest(the size has almost doubled in a year). I would like to know if there are any other women out there who have been medically diagnosed with weight gain due to early puberty, or who are currently going through the struggle to lose weight and have discovered an effective method. I've look at so many books and its all contradiction advice and now I am soo confused. Many thanks Sharyn
