Re: Daughter's annovulation and TSH level

I am sorry, I should have noted that the Dr ran the FSH and the LH. The FSH was 5.1 and the LH was 4.6, I am not sure what they mean if anything, the Dr didn't mention anything about it. Also her serum Glucose was low and this was not a fasting test. The LH test doesn't show a range, but the FSH test says it's in range for which part of her cycle I don't know because they list all three.

Can you explain her FSH and LH levels? I don't see an Estradiol test on the results.

BTW my other daughter who is 12.5 who has had her period for 1 year had the same tests run and her TSH was well within normal range, actually it was perfect and she doesn't have any of the symptoms my daughter with the high TSH level has.

Thanks for your reply..Am I correct in stating the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone comes from the pituitary and that's what regulates your menstruation?

Although your daughter seems to suffer from hypothyroidism it is better >to test FSH,LH and estradiol.Hypothyroidism can cause anovulation and
>delay the appearance of period
