I am not sure about this though since it is not a current problem with you. If the scars are noticable, the doctor will most definitely ask you if you or someone else did this to you if you do not mention it first. Expect questions - and be prepared to answer them. Why not just explain this to your mother before going to the doctor? It seems like you definitely need a doctor visit - and something that is in the past should not prevent you from fixing any problems you have presently. Another suggestion is to go with an Aunt, Grandmother, or other adult figure that might understand the situation a little better.
