Reply: Bernard Cristalli MD: "Re: Bleeding After Sex / Sensitive Cervix?" I am 27 years old. I had my first pregnancy 3 months ago which ended in miscarriage round the 6 / 7 week mark. I was then hospitalised for a D&C and my first period since was on the 20th August 2002 (6 weeks after D&C) which was normal. Last night, after sex I noticed a bloody discharge after having gone to toilet - after urinating. The blood was bright red in color (fresh) and about 10ml. What could have caused this? Could this be a sign of a sensitive / irritated cervix and would this have any affect on future pregnancies? Please advise. Thank you. -- Lori WA Next message: Alicia M.
