I recently had a dermoid cyst (9 cm) removed surgically. I am on Ovacon birth control pills. My question is this...after the surgery, I missed my period altogether. I am wondering if the surgery could disrupt my cycle. Could the removal of one ovary disrupt my cycle? I was worried and took a pregnancy test which was negative. My Dr. also tested for pregnancy before the surgery and it was negative, so I am confident I am not pregnant, I am just wanting to know if this is normal to be somewhat irregular after having one ovary removed.
