in painFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu, 29 Aug 2002 13:58:37 -0500 (CDT)
Please help. I'm 23. I take Lo ovral. For the last year and a half I have had ongoing pain in my left leg and hip and sometimes lower back. I usually get it after having walked a lot, and sometimes after doing nothing. I usually get it about 10 or 11 o'clock at night. Two or three nights a week. Usually take 2 or 3 extra strengh tylenol so I can sleep. My periods have been pretty normal. The last two months I have had more cramping though. This month I started having a stabbing and pinching pain(not constant or severe) in the left side of my pelvic area. Also feeling like I have trapped gas in that area.In the last week and a half my leg, hip, and back pain has been worse keeping me up for 1 to 2 hours before getting to sleep even with tylenol. I can't determine if the two pains are connected or not. I'm worried. If it's a female problem, I have not yet had children. My husband and I want several. I have taken birth control for about 4 years. I haven't had any previous problems. I've had regular yearly exams for the last 4 years, all normal. I'm very worried. I have read a lot in the archives ,but none really fit to my problem since I've had the hip, leg, back pain for a long time. The pelvic pain is new. Could it be endo?
