I can understand your attitude, but it is only one way of viewing things, I felt a bit like that before I had my first exam. If the girl had done her homework, going to a gyn would nearly always involve an internal exam, so if she realised she was seeing a man, she should have gone elsewhere if she felt uncomfortable, I always insist on seeing a woman. Also, I think people, especially at that age, feel intimidated by doctors, feeling they have to do what they are told if asked. I think with exams like that, one must remember that you, the patient are in charge and if you do not wish to be examined by that person, you can simply say you have changed your mind, or leave, be open and say you are not ready for it with them and you would prefer a woman. Whatever the problem, she can come back another day. One has to be honest with such exams, don't feel you have to obey. Even in hospitals you can discharge yourself whenever you like.
