It seems like all the doctors are busy today, so it may take a while to get a response. Check the archives on fistula repair in the meantime because I've seen answers in the past on this. I was under the impression from what I've read that the pin size ones can often heal on their own, but you may have other circumstances. Also, I think I also read that the actual way to find a fistula is to use a dye or fluid test (?) not by visual inspection. Again, I'm relying on memory, and may not recall with complete accuracy. I think air passing through the vagina is pretty common though, but you mention you are still in a lot of pain after many months. That does seem unusual, and hopefully you'll find something in the archives on this. If you don't get a doctor's response in a day or two, try reposting, but I recommend a different subject line such as " fistula repair- still in pain with air" rather than just "air".
