August 1999 - ASCUS pap October 1999 - Colposcopy no findings - ASCUS colpo pap January 2000 - Colposcopy no findings - normal pap May 2000 - Normal pap August 2000 - Normal pap January 2001 - Normal pap August 2001 - ASCUS pap November 2001 - Normal pap March 2002 - ASCUS pap - Negative HPV May 2002 - Colposcopy Clear ECC, 2 punches LGSIL ectocervical only
We've elected to followup with a pap in August and a Colposcopy in November. I have asked my doctor to repeat the HPV DNA test in August given the prior negative result, but she said it's useless since I probably do have HPV since my partner had an incidience of warts back in 1996 (prior to our relationship).
I assume that indeed, I do have a strain of HPV, but would like to know if it is one of the high risk ones. Is there any utility in repeating the DNA test on my pap in August?
