Exercise induced pain

Hi, I have just returned from my GP feeling altogether confused and a little worried. He simply said he had no idea what was wrong with me.

I am a 17 year old heptathlete and when I train at certain times in the month (usually just over a week before period) I get extreme cramping/ spasmodic pain in my lower abdomen. I have had this before but in the last few months it has been very bad. I run for about 10 minutes and as soon as I stop I have to endure 5 minutes of agony, before it disappears completely. (I get the same sort of pain after orgasm around this time too...) I have a big competition (the nationals) soon and I'm too afraid to train! I can't bare that sort of pain, which incidentally is not even touched by the painkillers that normally help. See I have bad enough cramps as it is when I do start my period, let alone at any other time and I'm at a loss as to what it is and what to do... any information will be much appreciated. Thanks
