painful menstruation after going off the pill

I was on ortho tri-cyclen for 1 year and 2 months, and am having my first period after stopping the pill. In my pre-menstrual stage, I experienced acute breast tenderness, strong mood swings, nausea, and cramping. I usually get some breast tenderness and slight cramping before my period, but this time it was much stronger than I'd ever experienced, and I rarely get moody or nauseous. Once I began menstruating, everything went away except for the cramps. Ibuprofin hasn't helped, and they're present all the time. I'm wondering if all of this is happening because my body is still adjusting to not being on the pill, or if I should be concerned. If its caused by the pill, is it likely to continue happening with every period, or is it a one time thing?
