To whom it may concern:

I was hoping to get some information. I am very confused. The first day of my last menstrual cycle was May 19th. Normally I have a very long cycle. On July 1st, I had unprotected sex because I figured that that particular day (44) could not possibly be the middle of my cycle, hence I could not get pregnant. Last week, starting monday, I started spotting. This continued until thursday, when suddenly I got menstrual cramps and started bleeding very heavily. I used a tampon, however, hours later it was still "clean". The rest of that day and friday, I continued spotting, and now am back to normal. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms (yet) such as vomitting, nausea, sleepiness, urinating often or tender breasts. Could it be possible that that 'event' that happened last week was my actual period? Or is serious bleeding like that normal? Like I said, I normally have very irregular menstrual cycles, but is this possible?

Thanks, Nika
