>Terri, Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I always try every non-invasive solution before resorting to surgery. If hysterectomy does turn out to be your best option, I wouldn't worry much that it will cause you even more problems. Yes, in rare cases major complications occur , as with any surgery. I have had a hysterectomy, as have some of my friends and all of us did fine and are still fine. In my humble opinion there are lots of "horror stories" about hysterectomy. ("it takes a year to get over it", etc, or even worse than that. In my case, nothing could be further from the truth. I wnet home in 1 1/2 days after an abdominal hyst and felt fine. I was going outside for walks within 4 days; by four weeks I went back to work, and was running at 6 weeks. Always research thoroughly and get at least 2 opinions.
