>Kelly, I used to run marathons (training 10-20 miles a day!)and still had regular periods. I ate a lot of calories (5000 per day) to maintain enough body fat for periods. I was very thin, but some of my competitors strove for even lower body fat percentages and had problems with periods. I really doubt 1-2 miles will do anything unless you are eating 1000 calories or less.
