In the past I have been on oral contraceptives, originally prescribed b/c severe cramping with vomiting (this only happens the first day of my period). I am not on the pill now but would like to go back on it; I have a very serious family history of Ovarian cancer (mom died at 33, aunt at 38- no other female relatives). Would a pill with a higher than average estrogen dose be a good choice? What are the relative effects of progesterone/estrogen in pills? Next message: Harvey S.
