Siegel, M.D.: "Re: Urine Sample" I just heard from my doctor that she wants to get a urine specimen using a catheter. I've never had this done, and I'm really freaked out. She said that it might be a little uncomfortable, but I don't really believe that. A friend told me that she couldn't stop crying when they did it to her, and that she couldn't go pee for like 3 days because it hurt so badly. Is this really true? What do they do to you?
