I am taking ortho-tricyclen and recently decided to try to reschedule my period. I finished the first three weeks of my last pack of pills and threw out the last 7 blank pills and immediately started a new pack. This is only my 4th pack of pills. I am taking the first week of the new pack right now. I am concerned because although I am taking active pills I still got my period. During a regular pack of pills I usually get it on Tuesday during the blank week (I'm a sunday start). However, I got my period on Friday, yesterday. I have not stopped taking the pills. I am just curious if I should be concerned and call my doctor or not. Can this just be because my body is not liking the fact that I am distrupting my cycle? Will my body just adjust accordingly? I haven't had any problems taking the pills the past 3 packs. I would like your input on my situation. Thanks.
