Bleeding Question for a GYN Doctor

I am a 19 year old female. I have been getting my period since I was 13. My periods were always regular. I became sexually active at age 16 and began taking birth control when I did. I started taking Estrostep. I was on that for a little over a year. My periods were always regular and I never had cramps. Toward the end I started getting mild cramps with my periods. I talked to my OBGYN and she said that I could start taking Ortho tricylen. I have been on that pill ever since (about 2 years). For the past 4 months or so I have been getting spotting every month half way through the week before my period should start and then getting my period as usual. This was bothering me. I asked my OBGYN about it, and she said it didn't seem like anything I should worry about. I was still bothering me, so I decided to skip the placibo week in my pills last month and go right into the new pack, figuring that i would start getting my period all the time on the week that I had been spotting on and stop spotting. Well, it's now two weeks into the pack and I have been spotting the entire time. It's really bothering me. Again, my periods were always very regular and I never used to get any spotting. Is it possible that my body is getting too used to the pill and my cycle is changing? Should I see my doctor before my scheduled appointment in mid August or should I just wait it out until then???? I have been sexually active with only one person during this time, and we are still active.

Sorry this is so long. Thank you for your help.
