Bleeding 5 Months After Medical Abortion....From: Lesley (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 15 Jun 2002 22:08:59 -0500 (CDT)
I had my first medical abortion exactly 5 months ago today. It took me about 6 1/2 weeks to begin a new cycle. My first period after my abortion was from April 1-6 (which is normal for me). But I began bleeding again on the 21st of April, which was my second period that month!!! I've never had two periods in one month before. From then until May I would have a period starting on the 21st and ending on the 30. I just figured my periods were out of whack because of the abortion. Well, here it is, June 15, and I'm spotting!!! It's not even the 21st yet!! What's wrong with me? Is it common for most women to have irregular periods after a medical abortion? Please reply! Thanks!!!! =o)
