PID, plus ProveraFrom: AmyAngel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 10 Jun 2002 12:37:38 -0500 (CDT)
Hi. I'm wondering if it is possible for PID (pelvic inflammtory disease) to be passed on genetically or otherwise, from a parent to their child. Also I am taking Provera (the oral form of Depo-Provera)(10mg twice daily) to try and regulate abnormal menstrual cycles, and to see if it helps with my chronic pelvic pain (cause unknown), and I have a few questions about it. If it was to help the pain, approximately how long could I expect to be waiting before experiencing any relief? Could the pain worsen at first before getting better? And I know that Provera can cause a vaginal discharge, and I'm wondering what type, as I currently have a yellowish-green discharge with an odour, and I am not sexually active. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
