Most folks start on Tuesday or Wednesday (assuming a sunday start), but it is not a big deal even you don't have a period at all, at least medically speaking. Obviously, the anxiety that you might be pregnant is an issue, and a negative pregnancy test in that event might be needed to set your mind at ease.
