This problem sounds psychological to me. The same thing happened in my relationship around year 2-3. We had other issues to sort out and after those were taken care of, things became more lubricated on their own. Always get yourself checked by a GYN to make sure things are physiologically ok. However, my guess is that this is a relationship issue manifesting itself with vaginal dryness.
