I doesn't hurt when I put it in or while it is in, but when I try to remove the tampon it hurts very badly. I try to relax all my pelvic muscles but it is still very painful. I have to do it so slowly that it takes me about 15 minutes to take it out. Any suggestions as to what is causing this or what I can do about it? I prefer the convenience of tampons over pads but the pain when taking them out is unbearable. (I am 21 and have had my period for 6 years.)
