Siegel, M.D.: "Re: menstrual problems" I'm 16 years old and began menstruating when I was 11. Up until about a year ago my cycle was a regular 28 days and would last 6 days. The symptoms were never unbearable either. Now the cycle seems to be getting shorter or at least less predictable. The cramps are horrible and I can barely walk. This past cycle, I stopped menstruating on the 9th. The 13th, today, I have been spotting, actually, what appears to be the start of another period. On occasion, when I move suddenly, or just at random times, I get pulling/stabbing pains in my lower stomach. I don't know if this is all related or totally seperate and nothing to worry about, I was just wondering what the possibile causes of this could be. Thank you for your time.
