Getting pregnate after taking birth control for 7 yearsFrom: Dawn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 13 May 2002 14:01:59 -0500 (CDT)
I am a twenty six year old female who gave birth to my only child eight years ago. I started taking "the pill" on my six week check up. A little over one month ago I got off and when it was time for my period I only had one for a day and a half compared to five. I had been experiencing morning sickness and after a week I took three home pregnacy tests. They all came out positive. The following day I went to the hospitital because I was having light spotting. After blood tests the doctor informed me that I had had a spontanious miscarrage. I would like to know if the pill could have forced me to miscarry even though I had been off for a month. Also I would like to know how long it could possibly be before I would be able to concieve again without the extreme risk of miscarrage.
