ProblemFrom: Melanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 11 May 2002 20:15:17 +1200
Hi there. For quite some time now (all up probably about 10 months) I have been experiencing pain in the entrance of the left side of my vagina. I have been to the doctor (although not a gynaenocologist) several times, who has tested me for various STD's (none of which I had-thank goodness). The last time I went to the doctor he prescribed me with a cream called Locoid Lipocream 0.1% which I have been using for the last 5 days about 2 or 3 times a day. I thought it would help heal me and it has to a degree but there is still a spot in the left entrance where it still feels sore, sharp and occasionally stingy. I have already booked an appointment with my gynaecologist, but wondered if you could shed anymore light on it. I'm 21 and have been sexually active since I was 15 I have never experienced any vaginal pain prior to this. I've been with my current partner (and only him) for over a year now. Do you think I have a tear? I'm pretty sure I do and have been using my cream in the meantime-but I've also still had sex during that. (My doctor told me it would be fine-and that it shouldn't make it worse if I did). I would appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks very much Regards Melanie
