Severe pelvic pain questions. Reply: William F. von Almen, II, MD, FACOG: "Re: Severe pelvic pain questions." Hi I'm an 18 year old female, and for over 2 years I have suffered from severe pelvic pain. I have been to about 4 gynae's and none of them have been able to give me an answer. I had a laparoscopy done in 2000, but nothing was found. I have read the many articles on OBGyn.net, and I was wondering if it could be possible for me to endometriosis, even though it wasn't picked up on laparoscopy. Another thing that bothers me with it, is that when it first started, and for about a year after that, the pain was constant and unrelated to my period, and my periods were regular. For over 8 months now, my periods have often been coming every 14-18 days, and the pain appears just before and in the first few days of my period then eases off and disappears.
