Birth Control and Period?

I have taken Ortho-Tricyclen for 2 months. Today will be the third day on the placebo pill in the second pack of pills. My period hasn't started yet and I am quite concerned. Last month my period started on the fourth or fifth day of placebo pills. I've not missed any pills and I haven taken them all at approximately the same time daily. I doubt it is very likely I am pregnant, even though I have been sexually active, because I have taken the pill as directed. Am I correct in assuming this? Also, when should my period start on Ortho-Tricyclen? I assumed it would start on the first day of placebo pills, but I've read replies to other posts from who women say their periods start usally on the third day of placebo pills. When should I expect my period to start?
