Hi, I am not a doctor, but I am in the same boat as you, I have HPV as well, and I am getting married to the man that I contracted it from next June. Now, you will have this for life, it will never go away. I just recently had surgery for mine. If left untreated and it grows you can get cervical cancer from it, or you might not, it just depends on how your body is. Have you already had a biopsy done and all? They hurt like hell but are important on showing how far the disease has spread. You can get HPV even if you have protected sex, it is a common STD too. You can have unprotected sex with nothing to worry about, except maybe the pregnancy thing, and other STDs if you havent been checked for all of them. HPV can also cause genital warts but there are many variations of this virus so not everyone has them. And if you have sex with someone else, you could give it to them regardless of protection. i found out i have HPV and i was wondering if i am still with the person i got it from could we sometime down the line have unprotected sex since we have the same thing?? im mostly disapointed that when i get married i cant have unprotected sex because of my HPV? what would happen would they just get my HPV or is there some other thing that could happen? im realy in hte dark about this please help!
