My history in a nutshell: I'm 32, never pregnant, not taking any other medication. I have always had a full head of thick hair and i have had hair loss only once before. Three years ago, i took Acutane for acne and experienced hair loss as a side effect of too much vitamin A. I stopped the Acutane and the hair loss subsided. i have taken birth control (Triphasil 21) before and never had hair loss. I just started taking the Alesse 28 in September 2001. I started to lose my hair in December and it has not subsided. My hair is thinning at an alarming rate. There is no history of female hair loss in my family. I take the lower dose Alesse because i had migraines when i took higher dose birth control pills. Thank you for your comments.
