Good sex tends to be re-enforcing. Unfortunately, painful sex is also re-enforcing. Worrying that sex is going to be painful virtually guarantees that it will be. The first thing to do is to break the cycle. This can mean something as simple as using a water based lubricant, or as complicated a desentisization exercises. Talk again with your gyn for more specific help.
