Use of Dianette long term.From: Graham (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 9 Apr 2002 17:38:24 +0100
I am a 37 yr old mum of one, who has been taking Dianette on and off for years. I find it is the only thing that works for me as I have excessively oily skin and am consequently plagued by spots! I would happily continue taking Dianette to help with this but have had so much conflicting advice from my GP's when requesting repeat prescriptions over time. Many GP's seem reluctant to prescribe it again for me and I often end up trying a different 'pill' to see if it will work. I am aware that there used to be some warnings issued in publications such as the British National Formulary against long term use of Dianette, but these do not appear to be there any longer. Why is this? Can I go back onto Dianette and use it over a more long term, as with other contraceptive pills? Are my GP's just 'behind the times' regarding use of this medication? Please advise me. Jan, from Cheshire. _________________________________________ Graham Adamson _________________________________________ ICQ#:140446270 Current ICQ status: SMS: (Send an SMS message to my ICQ): +2783142140446270 More ways to contact me: http://wwp.icq.com/140446270 _________________________________________ ------=_NextPart_001_0006_01C1DFED.5BFB8CE0
